Michigan customers now have the opportunity to choose a supplier of electricity. You will have the opportunity to save money as compared to the host utility rates if you choose to move to a supplier.

Only 10% of the customers in Michigan are permitted, by law, to take part in this.  We are quickly approaching that threshold, so you need to move quickly.

If you are a Detroit Edison customer, the time to act is now.

Though Consumers Energy customers have reached their 10% cap and will have to wait for changes in legislature to take advantage of this option. Detroit Edison customers still have options.  This territory has not reached its 10% cap and pricing in today’s market is very attractive.

The price of power in the Midwest dropped by 53% from July 2008 to July 2009 while over $600 million in rate hikes have been approved for Consumers Energy and Detroit Edison.  Furthermore, Michigan’s rates are currently the highest in the Midwest.
